I had decided to roll out media.io today.
I started with a dist-upgrade of my VPS from Debian Etch to
Lenny. This went pretty well. The next step was to install mplayer, LAME
and vorbis-tools, as well as some required libraries. This wasn't
exactly funny, but doable.

When I had uploaded the application and configured lighttpd, I ran into a problem with Except headers which forced me to upgrade lighttpd.

Anyway, I kept testing and found problems with file uploads: If I ran my uploads through a proxy, they worked fine. If I didn't use a proxy, lighttpd reported missing Host and User-Agent headers and the upload failed. I didn't expect this and will see if updating the Uploadify script I use will help.

So, media.io isn’t there yet even though I promised it would be. I’m sorry about this and I’ll see what I can do tomorrow.
