Uploads still don’t work reliably on media.io and this prevents me from rolling out the site. Let me explain what I’ve done so far.

• I opened up Orion. With my lighttpd and Orion stack, I thought of directly uploading files to Orion, which works well. The problem was that Uploadify 1.6 couldn’t upload to full URLs, just relative URLs.
• I updated Uploadify. After finding out through WireShark that Uploadify made invalid requests, I updated Uploadify and – to my surprise – uploads to a different URL worked.

But then, I found out that uploads to the URL of Orion didn’t work at all on Windows. I tried to diagnose with WireShark but went absolutely nowhere.

At this point, my hope is that I can reproduce the bug in lighttpd and get it fixed. I’ll keep you updated.
